Jar Information for Milk Shares
Milk Share customers purchase or provide two sets of jars. This way, when you come to pick up your milk, you can leave a clean set of jars for us to fill the next week. We use ½ gallon glass Mason jars. They are $2 if you buy them from us. You can use different jars if you like, but we recommend wide-mouth glass jars because they are easy to get clean and dry. Please only return clean and DRY jars to shelves. If even a little moisture remains, they get funky after sitting on the shelf all week. Rinse jars with cool water, then wash in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher. When glass is clean, it should have no smell. We sanitize every jar before it is refilled.
